Joye is Something to Share
When you support Joye in Aiken, not only do you get to experience once-in-a-lifetime performances, you’re putting our artists in front of a very important audience: local school kids. It is here, in the classroom, that Joye in Aiken does some of its most impressive work.
In the program’s first 17 years, over 700 acclaimed artists (primarily from The Juilliard School) have brought their remarkable talents and teaching skills to Aiken, providing inspiration and instruction to over 50,000 area students and significantly enriching the cultural opportunities available in the region.
Because providing wide access to the arts is an important part of our mission, a majority of our events are free or low-cost. Ticket sales furnish only 12 – 15% of our budget, and we receive no funding from The Juilliard School. It is the very generous support of individuals like you that sustains our efforts.
